Known as Moseleys Camp or Mosley’s Hut, sometimes called Mousley’s Hut.
Located at Macquarie Harbour, on Birch’s Inlet in the south.
History
This hut was built by The West Coast Wilderness and Recreation Association and Tas Parks and Wildlife have done a great job in maintaining Mousley’s Hut. It is in delightful position and a high quality state.
It is well fitted out and in very clean condition. There is a separate wood shed and outside toilet.
Construction
This hut is one of the most professionally built ones on Macquarie Harbour and features wood-turned veranda posts! It is a single room built over a milled timber frame with corrugated iron walls and roof.
