Also Known as Lake Field Hut or No.3 Hut

Located North of Kerrisons Hut on the Lake Field Track. Take the Pillans Lake Track north of Lake Augusta and continue north. Pillans Hut No.4 is off to west on a subsidiary track.

History

Apparently this hut was built by fishermen including Greg Nielsen around 1968 after the track was run in here. Originally locked, it is now open to all. The photo is of the original hut, now replaced after a fire. Photos of Pillans 2, are shown below.

Construction

Built of corrugated iron over sawn timber frame, it is very small.
