Iris Mine Huts

Known as Iris Mine, Red Robin Mine or Kemps Rainbow mine.

Located at Dolcoath Creek near Moina. The standing remains can be found under the power lines.

History

Mining commenced here for Tin and tungsten in the late 1890’s and continued to about 1919. Settlers were then inveigled to go fight in the great war.

Today, little remains and the hut is in poor condition.
