New Place Hut
Known as New Place Hut
Located at Williams Road near “New Place Creek”.
It sits in the forested plateau area west/northwest of Licola, typically accessed via rough 4WD tracks off main routes such as Moroka Valencia Creek Road or the Wonnangatta–Licola corridor.
History
Like many Licola‑area huts, New Place was originally built to serve grazing, forestry, or survey operations in the mid‑20th century, providing basic shelter for stockmen and field workers.
