King Saddle Shelter

History

This hut was built as day shelter, complete with the visible pot-belly stove, as cover for day trippers visiting the area for cross country skiing and tobogganing. There is a small run on the slope opposite.

Construction

Built in the shape of a geodesic dome, being hexangonal. It is a pseudo log cabin, with open door, and pitched corrugated iron roof.
