Located near Mt Victor, off the Walhalla Road.
History
The Mount Victor Hut, also known as the Walhalla Road Hut, stands beside Matlock–Walhalla Road near Mount Victor.
A former road workers’ hut, it later provided informal shelter for walkers on the Australian Alps Walking Track. Reports from 2017 describe it as derelict, and it is now mapped as a ruin. Its construction date and original builders have yet to be established.
In 2017 a Geelong 4WD Club reports this hut as in very bad condition.
Construction
A full corrugated iron hut, over sawn timber poles.
