Wheelers Hut

This hut was destroyed by Fire on 28 January 2020, but has been rebuilt.
Known as Wheelers Hut or Gibsons Hut
Located on the Wild Boar Track, Gibbo. GR786549 on the "Dart-Gibbo" map. Access is by a 21 Km 4WD track off the Corryong to Benambra Road.

History
This hut was originally built for deer hunting and fishing. Wild deer are seen nearby. It should not be confused with the more impressive Wheelers hut in Kosciuszko National Park.
Construction
Two rooms, with half logs on the outside, lined inside. Skillion iron verandah roof, linking to flat gable. Potbelly stove has been stolen.
