ACT Forests Picnic Hut

Known as ACT Forests Hut or Picnic Hut

Located under Mt Coree off a branch of Warks Road.

History

This hut was burnt down in the 2003 bushfires.

It was built as a shelter for workers who planted the surrounding pine trees and became a popular spot in the pine forest, as a picnic shelter.

Construction

Corrugated iron over sawn timber and pine poles.
