Ted Oldfield's Hut
Known as Ted Oldfields Hut, Long Plain Hut No. 2 or Old Yans Hut.
Located a short distance north of Cooinbil Homestead, on a small hill on the right side of the Long Plain Road.
History
This hut was built as a shepherds shelter by Ted Oldfield.
In the 1980’s there was an attempt made to shore up the rotting stumps, by scarfing ona new piece of wood to each one, with an angle cut. Unfortunately, all the cuts were made in the same direction, so the hut twisted in the first gust and collapsed.
