Old Betts Camp

Known as Betts Camp, Old Betts Camp, Betts Camp 1.

Located just off the Perisher to Kosciusko Road at GR229664. The fireplace remains visible today.

History

Built by the NSW Government Tourist Bureau in 1898, to support sight-seeing and skiing.

It was destroyed by fire in 1928.

Construction

The building was a weatherboard unit, with two rooms, and a gable iron roof. Stone and brick fireplace and chimney.
